SeaMar is pleased to be assigned by Oceaneering Services BV (Oceaneering) as their dedicated supplier of Port Agency & Vessel Logistic Services during their decommissioning campaign of Mud Line Suspension (MLS) Wells in the Dutch sector of the North Sea for 6 different operators.
Through Nexstep, the Dutch National Platform for Re-use & Decommissioning, the operators; TotalEnergies E&P Nederland, Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij, Wintershall Noordzee, ONE-Dyas, Petrogas E&P Netherlands, and Neptune Energy Netherlands have been working over the past few years to prepare this joint campaign. It is the first time that wells from this many different operators will be removed together in one campaign.
The operators have signed an agreement with Oceaneering for the decommissioning of wells that were once drilled for exploration purposes, but never became producing wells. During the vessel-based plug and abandonment services, Oceaneering will deploy amongst others, ROV services, cutting & dredging tools and light intervention and multi service vessels for a variety of decommissioning tasks.
To allow smooth port calls for the vessels and seamless logistic flows of equipment during the project, SeaMar will provide Oceaneering with; vessel agency services, waste management, storage & warehousing, freight forwarding, port logistics including mobilization and demobilization support in addition to husbandry & procurement services. These services will mainly be provided in/from the port of Den Helder, The Netherlands, but can also be expedited to other locations depending on project requirements.
