SeaMar goes USA! The MV Deep Helder has started geophysical surveying on the South Fork and Revolution Wind farms off the US East Coast. The vessel will be carrying out operations in the survey phase of the projects over a period of several months.
During this phase of the offshore wind farm projects, SeaMar’s client MMT will be conducting various marine survey tasks to assess the seabed prior to installation of any offshore cables and structures.
The Deep Helder has been active in the offshore renewable market in Europe where the vessel proofed to be an ideal platform during operations on wind farm sites and export cable routes.
SeaMar is pleased providing this support to MMT for the US market and values the combined capability between the two companies.
The South Fork wind farm is planned 35 miles east of Montauk Point and Revolution Wind 15 miles south of the Rhode Island coast. Together the South Fork and Revolution Wind farm will provide 838MW clean offshore wind power.
